HØRD and VOLCAN, two of the most promising artists from the renewed French electro/wave/synth scene, are also close friends, collaborating in particular under the name DIE UFER. They sometimes perform together, experimenting with sound but also with live projection thanks to video-synth devices of their own. Indeed their universe has to do with movie and large scale projection, each of them exploring his own way. When HØRD is plunging in spacious cinematographies and majestic landscapes, VOLCAN is building up robotic drifts and technoid honeycomb labyrinth. On this split EP, made with previously unreleased or brand new material, they nevertheless demonstrate their ability to interact, like horsemen who blend into the plain they gallop across side by side.

The record, in its 20 collector pieces version, was conceived as an echo chamber of this musical imagery, developing an immaculate snow scenery, pierced with light rays through which appear charred ruins, enigmatic footsteps, hieroglyphs carved on ice or burned geometric structures. It is also available in a more minimalist and simple standard version of 100 hand numbered copies.
The 6 tracks were mastered by DeA from Luminance, whose personal sound particularly connects with the mighty atmospheric electronic pieces of this record.
